Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance? How much do sessions cost?

At this time, I am not paneled with insurance and operate on a private-pay basis. Session fees are $140 for a 55-minute session and $225 for a 90-minute session.

Relationship workshops & trauma intensives are priced based on needs and specific details. Please inquire if interested in these services.

Do I really need therapy?

Everyone faces difficult seasons in life, and seeking therapy doesn’t mean something is “wrong.” It means you’re self-aware enough to recognize when extra support could help. Therapy is a proactive step toward change, offering tools to navigate challenges, break unhelpful patterns, and build lasting resilience so you can move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

What if my partner doesn't want to come for relationship counseling?

This is very common, and you can still come on your own. Meaningful change can begin when even one partner engages in therapy, often creating positive shifts in the relationship over time. You might also invite your partner to try just one session as a low-pressure way to see what it’s like, as many people become more open once they feel heard and supported. Either way, you don’t have to wait for both of you to be ready to start getting help.

What is Emotionally Focused Therapy?

Emotionally Focused Therapy is considered the gold standard when it comes to couples counseling. EFT helps to provide understanding and change the emotional patterns that drive conflict and disconnection. Grounded in attachment science, EFT focuses on strengthening emotional bonds, improving communication, and creating a greater sense of safety, trust, and closeness in relationships.

What is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting is a trauma-focused therapy that helps access and process deeply held emotional and physical experiences stored in the brain and body. By using specific eye positions linked to distress, this approach allows the brain to naturally process and release unresolved trauma, often reducing symptoms and restoring a greater sense of calm, clarity, and regulation.

What is Accelerated Resolution Therapy?

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a brief, evidence-based approach that helps the brain resolve distressing memories using guided eye movements. During sessions, the therapist helps you replace painful images linked to trauma with more positive images of your choosing, often leading to rapid relief — sometimes within just one session. As the brain processes these memories differently, triggers, intrusive thoughts, and nightmares can significantly decrease or resolve.
